About

I've been an avid computer-user ever since I got my hands on my first machine, the Apple Lisa, in 1983. I started to use Photoshop to create computer graphics in 1993, around the same time that I discovered HTML and web design. While I'm an expert Mac user, I'm no stranger to UNIX, which I've used since taking computer science courses at Dartmouth College. Though I'm an experienced programmer (mostly perl and java), I've discovered that I particularly enjoy multimedia design because it gives me a chance to use my creativity and technical expertise simultaneously.

I first became interested in multimedia through using Macromedia Director, but soon became enthralled with video editing and special effects, using Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, and later Final Cut Pro and Commotion.

More recently I have had the opportunity to author a DVD and find that DVD authoring is an excellent way to use all of my multimedia skills in a single project. It's a truly exciting format with a lot of potential that I believe is only beginning to be realized.

I am originally from Brooklyn, NY, but decided to stay in New Hampshire after graduating from Dartmouth College. In autumn 2002 I relocated to Burbank, California -- where the heart of the film and video post-production industry lies, in order to pursue my career.

I am currently working for Warner Bros. as a Multimedia Programmer, where I am devoting my time to HD-DVD development.

In my spare time I enjoy kiln-firing glass, knitting, gardening, cooking international food, and listening to electronic music.
